
The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has confirmed that an aircraft belonging to the force crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State in the early hours of Monday.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, said the aircraft was on a “routine mission” when the incident occurred.
In a statement made available to TheCable, Ejodame said a rescue operation was underway following the crash.
DAILY POST reported earlier that many passengers in the aircraft are feared dead. However, no official report on the actual number of casualties has been released.
