WAFU B U-17 Championship: Golden Eaglets coach confident of victory over Niger Republic

Golden Eaglets coach, Eboboritse Uwejamomere, believes his side will triumph over Niger Republic in their opening fixture of the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Championship.

Nigeria will take on Niger at the Stade du 4 Aout, Ouagadougou on Tuesday (today).

Niger played out a 1-1 draw with Cote d’Ivoire in their opening fixture.

The Golden Eaglets will move top of Group B with a win, boosting their chances of securing a place in the semi-finals.

“We are very, very confident because we’re Nigeria,” declared Eboboritse.

“But we’re not overconfident because we have to respect our opponents because they will give us a very tough battle.”

The game will kick-off at 5pm Nigerian time.
