Atletico Madrid striker, Julian Alvarez, was absent in training on Wednesday morning.
Marca reports that Alvarez was absent because he feels unwell.
The Argentina international was booed by Atletico fans last weekend as he continues to fight for a move to Barcelona.
The club’s hierarchy is determined not to sell Alvarez to their LaLiga rivals and would rather do business with Arsenal.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Julian Alvarez, absent from training at Atletico Madrid due to illness as he feels unwell — as @marca reports.
“Arsenal are still attentive to the situation if Julian decides at any point to open doors to a move.
“Alvarez only indicated Barcelona as desired club so far.”
