The Management of Taraba State Polytechnic has distanced itself from a publication titled ‘Jalingo Residents Oppose Polytechnic Relocation’, describing it as an AI-generated write-up that does not reflect the institution’s official position.
In a disclaimer dated November 2, 2026, and signed by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Varisca E. Habila, the institution clarified that the article, published in a local online medium, was neither authored, approved nor endorsed by its management.
“Taraba State Polytechnic, Suntai, had no connection whatsoever with the content, claims and conclusions contained in the publication.
“Any official information concerning the proposed relocation of the institution to Suntai would be communicated exclusively through its official notice boards and social media platforms,” the management said.
The polytechnic further expressed concern over images accompanying the publication, particularly those purportedly showing students and the institution’s entrance gate.
It noted that the individuals presented as students were not recognised as belonging to the institution, while the gate displayed in the publication was also not identified as that of the polytechnic. The management, however, stated that these observations remain subject to verification.
The institution consequently dissociated itself completely from the publication and urged members of the public to disregard its contents to avoid misinformation and unnecessary misunderstanding.
The statement also reaffirmed the support of the polytechnic’s council, management and staff for the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas, particularly his agenda to promote quality education and raise educational standards in Taraba State to a more competitive level.
