The Abia State Homeland Security Agency has dismissed one of its personnel, Sunday Ndifreke Essien, with service No. 26/0472, for alleged theft and other misconducts.
The dismissal of Essien, according to the Abia State homeland security agency, followed disciplinary proceedings conducted in accordance with the agency’s established code of conduct.
The statement disclosing the peesonnel’s sack was signed by Nzenwa Stanley, the Commander General of Abia State Homeland Security Agency.
“Following a thorough investigation, the officer was found culpable of serious breaches of the agency’s code of conduct, including theft, gross misconduct, insubordination, and a breach of public trust.
“The dismissed officer has been directed to surrender all Agency property in his possession immediately and complete the required clearance process”, the statement said.
The security agency stressed that where applicable, the matter has to be referred to the appropriate law enforcement authorities for further investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law.
It further warned that any act capable of undermining public trust, violating the agency’s code of conduct, or bringing the agency into disrepute will not be tolerated.
