All Progressives Congress women in Abia State have rallied support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
The women said they would reciprocate the President’s gesture of repositioning them and ensuring they are at the front burner of the country’s political landscape by voting him massively.
The Zonal Woman Leader, South East of the APC, Dr. Oby Agih, stated this on Thursday in Umuahia on the occasion of Abia APC women mid-year prayer summit/widows empowerment organised by the Abia APC woman leader, Lady C. C. Erondu.
Ajih said “based on what President Tinubu has done, women have decided to give him full support.
“Women are now included in the affairs of the country and they will no longer face hunger. One day, there will be a woman president in Nigeria”.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, she also said, had advised women not to be discouraged and assured them that after 2027 elections, they will not suffer again.
Erondu, on her part, said she knows the sufferings of widows, being a widow herself, hence why she decided “to use the little I have to put smiles on their faces”.
She informed the APC widows that Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has assured them of her support and will also better their lots and that the administration of Tinubu will provide jobs for their youths and their children.
In his goodwill message, the APC candidate for Aba North and South, Uzor Azubuike described the programme as “a sacrifice” by the Abia APC woman leader who he said assumed office less than one month ago.
